The aim of this one-day conference was to provide a practical, hands on approach to how telecare and associated technologies can positively impact on the delivery of health and social care services in the UK. The focus of this conference was on long term neurological conditions.
In addition to keynote presentations there was a number of “showcases” to demonstrate how telecare, as part of a community rehabilitation package, can help people suffering from long term neurological conditions achieve a higher level of personal and/or social function. The 'showcases' featured projects involving people with dementia, epilepsy, brain injury, Parkinson's disease and motor neurone disease.
